Skin Boosters for skin hydration

Although cosmetic injectable treatments like anti- wrinkle injections and dermal fillers improve wrinkles, lines and facial structure, they don’t improve your skin. This is where skin boosters come to the fore- they improve skin hydration and texture, resulting in softer, glowing skin.

No matter what your age, healthy skin always imparts a natural beauty.

There are 2 types of Skin Boosters, and they have subtle differences:

Beauty Boosters (AKA “injectable moisturisers”) are comprised of hydrating agents, mixed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. This “biorevitalisation” serum improves hydration and skin health, but they do not change the facial structure or provide any volume.

Many people have injectable moisturisers in the under eye region or neck every 6 months to improve skin integrity, reduce pigmentation and as an anti- ageing intervention to prevent fine lines and thin skin. We can also add in a customised “Superboost” cocktail which contains a customised cocktail for skin biorevitalisation. Common ingredients include vitamins, minerals, anti- wrinkle solution and peptides. We inject beauty boosters using an automated device, small needle or cannula, which reduces bruising and downtime.

Cross - Linked Skin Boosters contain a small percentage of cross linked hyaluronic acid, which gives structure, strength and hydration to the skin. They are best used in targeted areas e.g. lines around the eyes and lower cheeks (crows feet, “accordian” lines), acne scars, or on the back of the hands where they help to hydrate and volumise the skin and soft tissue. They are not suitable around the eyes or on very thin skin on the neck.

Many people choose skin boosters because they are subtle and improve lines without “freezing” or changing facial structure. They are also a low risk option compared with traditional dermal filler treatments.

For younger clients, beauty boosters give an “airbrushed”, complexion. This can be done before a special event such as a formal or wedding, or twice a year for maintenance of beautiful skin.

For mature skin, skin boosters help to prevent and manage fine lines, especially in areas where the skin is thinning due to reduced collagen.
